The Criminal Investigations Unit consists of three full-time investigators. The criminal investigators are Paul Strother, Nathan Purling, and Jacob Henry. The investigators do follow-ups on reports that the road patrol division takes, do their own investigations on information they receive, work with the local SRS employees in child abuse allegations, and are called out for major crime scenes. Some crimes the criminal investigators work are murders, attempted murders, kidnappings, rapes, child physical/sexual abuse, robbery, burglary, theft, and internal investigations.
