During the past few weeks, several acts of burglary and theft have occurred in the Vassar area.
January 5th, 2012
Sometime during the evening of January 4th to the morning of January 5th, unknown person(s) entered the Westar Energy power substation at 12130 South Paulen Road, near Carbondale. Numerous tools and other items were removed, including a potentially hazardous material.
January 1st, 2012
Sometime during the past week, unknown person(s) removed air conditioner units from the 12900 block of South Topeka Avenue, Carbondale.
December 22nd, 2011
Sometime between the evening of December 21st and the morning of December 22nd, unknown person(s) entered a shop in the 800 block of West 189th Street, Scranton. Several items were removed from the shop.
