I was happy to accept the position of the first Human Resources Director for the County of Osage in April 2022. I have over 25 years of experience in human resources with 12 years as a Director of Human Resources. During my time I have developed training curriculum for HR related workshops for Washburn Continuing education and my current and past employers for annual and new employee orientations.
While working for the Kansas Adjutant General’s Department I was the State equivalent of a Security Manager for the processing of OPM security clearance for state employees. I was required to attend OPM Adjudication training and adjudicated security clearances for the State Employees of the Adjutant General’s Department and passed this course.
I have developed and maintained multiple databases to ensure compliance with required training and certifications for state employees and hospital staff.
I continually think “Outside-the-box” to create and develop strategies to resolve issues faced in my work environment. In my current position, I have be vital in identifying and assisting in changing workplace cultures to ensure all employees are treated fairly and with respect.
I approach my work with professionalism, use of my experience, and my educational background. I have a history of high ethics, creative recruitment strategies, strong staff management, working closely with my current team on resolving any issues, and understanding my role to assist and promote my organization’s success.
