The Osage County Attorney's Office is located on the first floor of the Osage County Courthouse in Lyndon, Kansas. The County Attorney's office is responsible for prosecuting criminal, traffic, and juvenile cases that arise in Osage County, Kansas. In addition to prosecuting these types of cases, the office is also responsible for Child in Need of Care cases, Involuntary Commitments, and prosecuting county code violations.

Tonya Vignery was elected to fulfill the vacant Osage County Attorney position on November 10, 2022. She previously worked as the Assistant County Attorney and was in private practice.
The Osage County Attorney’s Office is seeking an experienced Legal Secretary/Assistant. The ideal candidate will, among other duties as assigned, draft and prepare legal correspondence, pleadings, discovery, manage calendars, and provide clerical, administrative, and organizational support.
Excellent communication, organizational skills, ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, participation in on-going learning and development, demonstration of initiative, maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards. Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Software and basic office functions.
Requirements: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and legal experience is not required but preferred. Pay dependent upon experience.
